Most beauty copy is written to make you feel something rather than to tell you anything. We would rather write the boring version: what is in it, how to use it, and what it will not do.

That means saying out loud that a lip oil's plumping effect is temporary, and that a brow tint needs a patch test two days beforehand. It is a worse sales pitch and a better basis for buying something.

    Creams and masks work gradually. Give a moisturiser a few weeks before you decide about it, and judge it on how your skin feels rather than how it looks on the first morning.

  • Make-up

    Shade matters more than formula. Ours run light to medium, so check the swatches before ordering, and build foundation in thin layers rather than one thick pass.

  • Tints and treatments

    Immediate but temporary. A lip oil lasts hours, a brow tint a few weeks. Patch test anything containing a dye, 48 hours before you use it properly.

Questions people actually ask

How long before I see anything?

Skincare works on the timescale of skin, not of shopping. Give the collagen cream three to four weeks before you judge it, and go by how your skin feels rather than how it looks the first morning.

The eye masks and the lip oil are the opposite: they work within minutes and the effect is temporary by design. That is what they are for.

Which foundation shade should I pick?

The three shades run light to medium — 01 Light, 02 Light Neutral, 03 Medium. If you are between two of them, take the lighter one: foundation oxidises a little through the day and settles slightly deeper than it looks going on.

The swatch photo on the product page is the honest reference. If you are still unsure, email us and describe what you currently wear.

Do I really need to patch test the brow tint?

Yes. Forty-eight hours before, behind the ear or on the inner elbow. This is the step people skip and it is the one that matters — a dye reaction on the eye area is not a small inconvenience.

If you have ever reacted to hair dye, do not use it at all.

When will my order arrive?

Orders placed before 15:00 on a working day are dispatched the same day. Anything later, or at a weekend, goes out the next working day.

How long it then takes depends on where you are. The estimate for your address is shown at checkout before you pay, rather than as an optimistic number here.

Can I return something I have opened?

Cosmetics and skincare have to come back sealed. That is hygiene rather than fussiness — nobody wants a used lip oil resold. You can of course open the outer box to look at what you have.

Anything faulty is a different matter entirely. Email us with a photo and we will sort it out.
